PRE GROOMING REQUIREMENTS

Prior to grooming any dog, we politely ask that dogs are walked, exercised and toileted. We find that grooming a well exercised and relaxed dog is more enjoyable for both dog and groomer.

Please disclose, when booking, if your dog exhibits any difficult or aggressive behaviour, for the safety of your pet and the staff at Bee and Berrys Grooming Services Limited.

THE BEE AND BERRYS GROOMING SERVICES LIMITED ASSUMES THAT:

• The dog’s vaccinations are up to date.

• All health issues are revealed at the time of consultation.

• The dog is free from parasite infestations - Please inform us if you think your dog may have fleas/ticks etc. so it can be treated appropriately.

• The dog’s coat is presented in “Normal Condition” that is; that you groom your dog at home regularly between appointments, and that you will present your dog at the salon in an un-matted state. Please inform us if you think your dog is matted. Fees may occur.

GENERAL:

• No liability will be accepted by Bee and Berrys Grooming Services Limited in the case of injury caused by difficult or aggressive behaviour of your pet.

• No liability will be accepted by Bee and Berrys Grooming Services Limited when any health problem is uncovered or aggravated by any part of the grooming process.

• Dogs presented with parasite infestations may incur additional charges.

• Owners must accept that if extensive extra work is needed due the coat condition, or the dog’s behaviour lengthens the time taken to groom, this will be charged accordingly depending on how much extra time is required.

• Payment will be made on completion of the groom.

DE-MATTING POLICY:

It is our policy to only work out matting on your dog for a period of no longer than a 20 mins. It's unhealthy to allow your dog's coat to continually matt and as groomers we cannot undo extensive matting caused by not maintaining your pet’s coat at home. Matting can cause of pain and discomfort and can in severe cases lead to illness, infection, parasitical infestation that go undiscovered and in severe cases further health issues.

We will work with all clients to educate, free matts and maintain coats to a high standard where supported and able. If necessary, a complete "shave off" may be our only option, for the welfare of a dog. When this is required, we will only continue after consultation with the owner and if we feel we are not placing the dog under duress, discomfort or in harm. In cases where we feel that de-matting may cause stress, discomfort or harm we will advise veterinary intervention.
 

LATE COLLECTIONS:

Whilst we love having dogs in our salon, we politely remind customers that we do not run a pet sitting service. Owners of pets left for longer than 30 mins after their grooming session has finished, will be charged at a rate of £15 per 30 mins and kept securely for their own and other dog’s safety. We always act within animal welfare regulations and your dog still requires staff time and expertise to be kept calm and have all it's needs met in line with those regulations. This may be as simple as a dog needing to be walked for toileting by a member of staff.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Every appointment made has an allocated time slot tailored to your dog’s specific needs. This is why we ask that you kindly give us at least 24 hours’ notice prior to your appointment should you need to cancel, so we can offer the appointment to another customer.

If you do have to cancel and give 24 hours’ notice there is NO Charge.

If less than 24hrs notice is given, up to 50% of full grooming fee will apply. This fee will need to be paid before your next appointment can be booked and may also affect your ability to book with us in the future.
